Maria João Vaz
MANAGING PARTNER
Before transitioning to Stravillia, of which she is co-founder, Maria João worked with BSD Consulting, after working for PricewaterhouseCoopers and Sair da Casca. With over 20 years of experience in consulting in the area of sustainability, she is responsible for different technical areas in the company and coordination of various sustainability projects in the areas of strategy, reporting and assurance, environmental and social audits, implementation of SDGs and other cross-cutting projects at the level of management of ESG factors.
She has worked in several projects of preparation and verification of sustainability reports, environmental impact assessment, climate change, environmental management systems and involvement with stakeholders in various sectors such as pulp and paper, oil and gas, water, energy, textile, hospitality, among others. Maria João also has experience as a trainer and in the development of several training actions.
She has a degree in Environmental Engineering. Maria João has AA1000AS training from AccountAbility and Integrated Reporting from IIRC. She is a GRI trainer, IEFP certified trainer and ISO 14001 coordinating auditor.
