SDG - Integration in the sustainability management & reporting process
NEXT DATES 2024: To be defined

Context:

What are the SDGs? How can sustainability reporting help achieve the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development? And how can companies and governments contribute to achieving the goals through sustainability reporting? Business and governments are key to achieving the UN SDGs by 2030. There is now widespread agreement that governments are not the only actors making efforts to implement the SDGs. The active participation of companies is a determining factor in achieving these goals, but best practice for corporate reporting on the SDGs has yet to be established and GRI is at the forefront of creating a methodology.

Main Goals

  • Know how to consult and take advantage of the modular structure of the GRI Standards to report on the organization’s alignment with the United Nations 2030 Agenda
  • Better understand the Sustainable Development Goals, what they are, how they set the global agenda for sustainable development, and how they relate to governments and business activities
  • Understand how the SDGs link to the GRI Standards both in terms of objectives and goals and what possible disclosures companies can make for each SDG goal
  • Understand the method to integrate SDGs into reporting process through the knowledge and use of available tools
