CARBON EXPERT

Aleksandra collaborates with Stravillia on a freelance basis, having a wide experience in the areas of sustainability, energy and, in particular, carbon. Beforehand, she was a leader of various carbon management and energy efficiency projects at an energy service provider in Germany. She has worked with various sectors, including Banking, Energy, Tourism, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Retail, E-Commerce, Service and Educational. Some examples of her consultant portfolio include: Introduction of the first climate-neutral bank account in Germany according to PAS 2060; Calculation and verification of corporate and product carbon footprints for companies and products according to the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol; Development of sustainable corporate strategies with the focus on climate change and energy efficiency; Setting of GHG emission reduction targets; Monitoring the progress and effectiveness of reduction measures; Implementation of energy management systems in accordance with ISO 50001; Implementation of sustainability rating projects and CSR communication strategies for listed companies. Aleksandra graduated both in Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Hamburg University of Technology, Germany as well as in MBA in Global Technology Management at the Northern Institute of Technology. She later pursued her PhD degree in Economics and Social Sciences at the same University in Hamburg. She is a member of the Portuguese Order of Engineers.
